Recouperating

I am taking it easy.  I had the Oral Surgery on Tuesday.  It was rough even with the Nitrous Oxide and numerous shots of novocain…I had many pockets of infection…the Doctor said no wonder you were sick...   Yuck.

Far Guy is taking real good care of me. He made the mistake of asking me what I would like to eat since I can only eat soft foods for a bit.  I said “Chicken and Noodles and Lemon Pudding.”  Both were accomplished, he can now make homemade noodles from scratch.  He was quite proud of his meringue too.

We walked outside for a bit yesterday.  Far Guy says “Where in the world did you get those pants?  Have you worn them before?  You are not going to wear them out in public are you?”  I have several pairs of colorful warm leggings that I wear in the winter…usually under a long nightgown.  I didn’t feel like wearing real clothes yesterday so I wore the leggings an old shirt and my raggedy old sweater that has holes in the elbows…comfort clothing.

colorful warm pants

Chance and I went out again after supper….we walked around in the yard and then sat for awhile.  It was crocs with socks weather.

Chance and June on April 25

June report…she is melting.

I am so glad the surgery is over. For the most part I am watching the Food Network and sleeping, using ice packs for the swelling and taking my antibiotics.  I still have a fair amount of pain but I hope everyday gets a bit better.

Those leggings would cheer anyone up! I sleep in mine. They don't bunch up like a nightgown. Hope you feel better, Connie.

Hope you are feeling much better tomorrow morning. I hate any "procedure". Seems to me the surgeons underestimate the discomfort. BUT you are on the other side of it now. And now you will be feeling better.

Get well soon. I will say a prayer for you.

Ouch on the pain. I have some wild looking long johns like that too! I love mine, but am going to have to put them away pretty soon.
I love it that things have warmed up though and the snow is melting.
Hope you feel much better soon.

So glad you are beginning to feel better, but sad you are still in pain. I, too, have soe of those crazy leggings and I do wear them out of the house! It sounds like Far Guy is taking good care of you, I'm sure you'll be back to your old self in no time!

Had to giggle about Far guy asking you not to wear your leggings in public- sounds like something my husband would say!
I hope you recover quickly.

That is awful stuff to have. I had a split tooth that I didn’t deal with for a long time. When I went in I wanted him to remove the side of my jaw. The doc was negligent and didn’t give me antibiotic. I was to sick to ask for anything. I went back in in four days and wished for something. They treated it with a bad smelling creme and gave me some antibiotic. At any hint of infection, I don’t wait any more. Rest for at least three days or more.

I'm glad the surgery is behind you and that it went well. May you feel better every day.

Comfortable clothing is a necessity when you're recuperating.

I'm so glad June is leaving! AND I'm glad you can now really get well!

Comfort clothes--yes! I got a kick out of those leggings! I have an assortment of stranger items of clothing I wear when I am home alone and no one can see me--ROFL!! And I love crazy socks.

Thank goodness the surgery is behind you. Rest and pills is what you need...and homemade chicken and noodles--now that's service! One of my Swedish grandmas used to make that for family gatherings. Hers was so thick that we spooned it over mashed potatoes, but it was delicious!

Hope you feel so much better after this ordeal that you won't recognize yourself. ;)

Heal up quickly! Dental work is a pain especially if you have an infection. I think we all have our "comfort clothes" that we like to wear around the house when we feel bad.

I hope so to, you have had a hard spring with pain and snow!

Oh that sounds awful! Hope you have some sort of insurance for that, dentists and oral surgeons don't come cheap. The leggings are cheery and nothing wrong with the public seeing them! Looking positively springlike there, glad June is disappearing, I think she will need to be renamed 'May'!

My mouth hurts just hearing about your surgery. I have gone through things like that so many times. I'm so sorry you are having to go through it. At least the Chef is hard at work and that should make you smile!!! Hope you're feeling much better soon! Thanks again for the awesome wood carving! You guys are such pros!

Oh, I am so sorry you are in pain. I would rather have a baby than dental pain! I had some awful experiences as a child with dentists. I bit the first one and when my mother asked why I said he had no business putting his hands in my mouth! No one had explained what a dentist was or what was going to take place....not even the dentist. That'll teach 'em! Anyway, I pray you recover quickly and that the pain goes away soon...I feel for you, I really do! I would have thought they would have given you general anesthetic. I always threaten my doctors....in a nice way, of course but I let them know that in this day and age there is no reason to suffer pain at all and if I do they will hear about it. Glad to hear Gene is finally pulling his weight around there! LOL! Just kidding, Gene! I wish I had someone to make chicken and noodles for me. I had some out of can Friday night as I was so tired from Wally World. Get better soon! Hugs ~ Sam
